Join fellow Duke health professional students for a film screening of The Cost of Care and discussion over dinner.

The Cost of Care is a 15-minute documentary film by Evan Daniel that follows Shannon Forney, a mother facing severe financial burdens following a brain tumor diagnosis. The film highlights the hidden, long-term costs of the American healthcare system. It serves as a personal story about the financial, physical, and emotional strain of medical treatment.

Hosted by the Trent Center, Ethics Night will be co-led by Program Director in Medical Humanities, Sneha Mantri, MD, MS, Program Director in Clinical Ethics, Ryan Antiel, MD, MSME, and Program Director for Bioethics Outreach, Janet Malek, PhD. An interdisciplinary group will moderate discussion.
