Micah Rojo is an Oncology Nurse at Duke University Hospital, where he serves as the co-chair of his floor’s Professional Governance Council and as part of the hospital’s clinical ethics consult service. He is also an MTS student at Duke Divinity School, where he is a Theology, Medicine, and Culture Fellow. Micah is interested the intersection of care and risk management – how they aid and obstruct each other – particularly in the context of nurses’ daily practices. With regard to the Trent Center Clinical Ethics Fellowship, he hopes to explore the phenomena of nurses serving as clinical ethicists. How, why, and should their being a nurse influence their work as clinical ethicists?
