Riley Yang, LCSW, MSW, MPH is a dual-role clinical social worker and case manager with the Advanced Heart Failure Therapies program at Duke University Medical Center. She also serves on the clinical ethics consult service. Ms. Yang obtained her master's degrees in social work and public health at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was selected for a federal training fellowship for leaders in the combined field of public health and social work. Prior to arriving at Duke in 2021, she worked as a clinical social worker for UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, the Alaska Native Medical Center, and Southmountain Children's Services. Outside of her clinical role, she is passionate about improving outcomes for patients with complex heart disease and was appointed by the Fontan Outcomes Network as part of their community building initiative. Ms. Yang was previously honored by the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project's 40 Under 40 program and the University of Pittsburgh Selfless Spirit Award. She is currently a member of the Society for Transplant Social Workers.
